Trek to Thadiyandamol 68 KMS from the Farm
The Jenukal Gudda (Honey-stone Mountain) is the second highest Peak in Karnataka. The place is known as “Hodachalli”.

Sight Seeing

Cauvery Nishadhama: 4 KMS from the Farm

This is a beautiful 64-acre island created by River Cauvery. It is located 28 km from Madikeri, 2 km from Kushalanagar, and 11 km from Dubare camp. The surrounding area consists of dense foliage of bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees. The major attractions of Nishadhama are elephant rides and boating.

Dubare Elephant Camp: 16 KMS from the Farm

  • Boat Ride or Small trek to reach the Elephant camp after crossing the river.
  • 9 AM – 12 PM: Elephant Interaction and Elephant Rides.
  • 4.00 PM – 5.30 PM : Elephant Feeding Time
Dubare Elephant Camp is a project undertaken by forest department and jungle lodges and resorts. . The camp is located at the edge of Dubare forest, and houses an incredible number of trained elephants.

Elephant Grooming: Visitors can watch Elephants been given a scrub-bath in the River and also watch how oil is applied on their forehead, tusks and other aspects of Elephant grooming.

Elephant feeding: Visitors can watch the food being prepared for the Elephants and how they are fed.

Commands: The Mahouts will then demonstrate the various commands the Elephants can obey. This can be vividly portrayed by making Elephants perform some mock logging operations.

Naturalist: While visitors are going through all these activities, a Naturalist will explain to them about all aspects of Elephant ecology, history, conservation etc. The visitor’s interaction with Elephants will be as participatory as possible. Further, a leaflet giving interesting information on the same will be given to visitors.

Elephant Ride: Finally, visitors will be taken on a 10 to 15 min Elephant ride into the Dubare Reserve Forest. Before, they get on to the Elephant they can watch how the Howdahs is actually tied etc.

Harangi Dam Site: 5 KMS from the Farm
The dam is located 36 km from Madikeri. The beautiful reservoir is a perfect spot for arranging picnics. The dam has been built across Cauvery River.

Bylakuppe : Golden Temple – 13 KMS from the Farm
Bailkuppe near Kushalnagar is one of the largest Tibetan settlements in south India. Most notable among them are the large educational monastic institution Sera, the smaller Tashilunpo monastery and Namdroling monastery .The Mahayana Buddhist University is at Sera. There are nearly 7,000+ monks and nuns. The gold-coated Buddhist statues in the monastery are imposing and unique, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Tibetans. The statues are of Guru Padmasambhava, Buddha Shakyamuni and Amitayus. They make handicrafts, carpets and incense. Tourists can shop for sweaters, dress material and other accessories

Jai Bhuvaneshwari Military Hotel The staple in this area are giant ball of cooked ragi. The Mutton chops and chicken are served separately from the gravy which is very spicy. Flavoured with cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves the meat is a blend of sweet and spicy, cooked to just the right level of tenderness.

JB Hotel has a small eating room and serves only Non-vegetarian food, but if you order vegetarian food, you will be served vegetarian Thali from a hotel across the road.
